The story behind Evelan — why we exist
My name is Andreas Straub, I founded Evelan in 2017. After my degree in Media Informatics, I spent many years working in enterprise software development — first as a developer, then as a software architect. The projects I led were complex web applications and cloud platforms for large corporations: highly secure, highly available, highly scalable. The know-how was impressive. The access to it was expensive — far too expensive for mid-market companies.
With the rise of cloud and SaaS technologies, it became possible to make the same power affordable. That was the founding moment of Evelan: enterprise quality without the enterprise price tag, perfectly fitted for small and mid-sized businesses. This standard remains our compass for every project we accept.
My personal motto along the way: “I look for solutions, not for excuses.” Sounds simple — in real project work it’s worth its weight in gold.
